TEMPORARY PROJECTS PROVIDE ONGOING ARTIST DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture is committed to supporting emerging Arizona artists and artists new to public art. Several recent projects illustrate the diversity of approaches and opportunities available to Arizona artists.

One special approach to cultivating emerging artists is through temporary public art projects. Temporary projects offer artists a chance to develop professional skills that will prepare them to apply for larger commissions, while showcasing innovative works that might not be practical for permanent display.
