The artist participated on a design team with Hoffman-Miller Engineers (structural), AmWest Engineering (civil), and Jim Wheat and Associates (landscape designers) for the design of a recreational trail along the Cave Creek Wash, under the 7th Ave. Bridge. The artist also designed the barrier railings atop the bridge, and fabricated special pre-cast inserts for its structural columns. The design features natural desert xeriscape, and architectural gabion baskets used as retaining walls.
