The artists created two bronze relief panels, which are displayed on either side of the visitors’ entrance of the fire station. The larger panel depicts a complex scene of firefighters in the field, combating an urban fire. The smaller panel shows firefighters at a station open house, interacting with a group of children. To prepare for making the artwork, the artists spent time on the job with firefighters.
