The Finance Department coordinates the city's bid incentive and reserve contract programs for certified Small Business Enterprises (SBE).
Bid Incentive Program
To encourage small businesses to participate in goods and general services contracts, the city offers bid incentives to certified small businesses (SBEs).
- 5 percent bid incentive for contracts and purchase orders up to $250,000
- 2.5 percent bid incentive for contracts between $250,000 and $500,000
Reserve Contract Program
The SBE Reserve Contract Program includes opportunities for goods and general services providers to participate in city procurement opportunities. Selected contracts are reserved by the Finance Department for competition only among certified SBE firms.
