The City of Phoenix's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Economic Development Open Application Program is administered by the Community and Economic Development Department (CEDD). The goal of the program is to provide funds to community agencies that, in turn, foster economic growth in Phoenix's small business community. CEDD issues this Request for Proposals (RFP) annually.This is an ongoing process and CEDD will accept proposals for the 2007-2008 Economic Development Open Application Program beginning August 20, 2007, through June 30, 2008 depending on availability of funds.
To be eligible for the first review, proposals must be received by 5:00 pm., Friday September 21, 2007. Subsequent review deadlines will be established as needed.
An agency orientation will be held on Wednesday September 5, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., Phoenix City Hall, 200 West Washington Street, 20th Floor Main Conference Room. This meeting provides an opportunity to ask specific questions. Parties who are planning to submit a proposal are encouraged to attend. Samples of successful proposals from the previous year will be available.
