Plan Review Timeline1

Record Drawings

As a water or sewer line is constructed, the engineer certifies the line is built according to the plans, or if it isn’t exactly as the plans specify, the engineer makes the appropriate changes on the "as built."

These "as builts" are given to the Plannig and Development Department (PDD) offsite inspector, who then delivers them to the Water Services Department (WSD) Infrastructure Record Services Division (IRSD). The IRSD staff review the plans to make sure we have all the documentation required in order to map and release the water and sewer lines. This would include making sure all the land-base documentation is there, making sure the agreement has been prepared and gone to City Council, making sure we have an Interim Letter in the file, as well as other necessary documentation. Once all information is confirmed, the plans are mapped.

Once the "as builts" have been mapped, the PDD inspector ensures the paving adjustments are complete, and the IRSD is notified that the meters can be released.
