Awards, Competitions and Grants for Schools and Youth
Outstanding Young Man/Young Woman of the Year - The Outstanding Young Man/Young Woman of the Year program recognizes the achievements of young people and enhances community awareness of the positive contributions of youth. One young man and one young woman are selected from each of the eight city council districts and receive $250. From those finalists, one young man and one young woman are chosen as overall winners and receive an additional $2,000. Winners from each city council district and the citywide young man and young woman of the year are recognized at a luncheon.
