Last Modified on 09/23/2011 16:00:17On Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, the City of Phoenix will conduct a Runoff Election in which city voters will elect a mayor and voters in Districts 1 and 5 will elect a council member. This election is required by the City Charter because no candidate for these offices received a majority of the votes cast for the office in the August Election.
During the week of Oct. 3, 2011, the City Clerk Department will mail a Sample Ballot Pamphlet to each residence address in the city where there is a registered voter. The pamphlet contains a sample ballot identifying the candidates and includes information about voting, a list of early voting and voting center locations and the dates and times each are available, and a list of acceptable identification that can be used when voting at the voting centers.
This pamphlet is available in alternative formats, including Braille, large print, audio tape and compact disk (CD), upon request. To request an alternative format copy of this pamphlet, please call the City Clerk Department at 602-261-VOTE (8683), TTY 602-534-2737. Requests for alternative formats must be received by Oct. 14, 2011.
