DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The primary responsibility of this assignment is to manage the City’s Brownfields Land Recycling Program. This includes serving as a single point-of-contact for internal and external customers; providing technical assistance, brownfields information resources, and access to regulatory contacts; and serving as an advocate and liaison between City departments, other government agencies, and participating brownfields partners.

This assignment's duties include marketing and promoting the brownfields program; managing the Private Sector Brownfields Bond Grant Program and the Public Brownfields Bond Grant Program; reporting to management and elected officials on brownfields program activities and projects; managing a multimillion dollar capital improvement bond fund budget; managing the Brownfields Job Training Program; and developing, coordinating, and conducting the annual Phoenix Brownfields University conference.
