City of Phoenix Prosecutor's Office

The City of Phoenix Prosecutor's Office is the largest municipal prosecutorial agency within the state of Arizona and is responsible for prosecuting all misdemeanor offenses that occur within the City of Phoenix, a city with a population in excess of 1,321,045 and covering more than 516 square miles. Each year, the Prosecutor's Office handles approximately 55,000 cases. This includes prosecution for crimes such as Impaired Driving, Assault (domestic violence), Shoplifting, Criminal Damage, Hit and Run, Trespass, Prostitution, Suspended License, Order of Protection Violations, Contracting Without a License, and Suspended License.

The Prosecutor's Office consists 170 employees including attorneys, legal assistants, victim advocates, secretaries and legal clerks within the following Bureaus and Units:
