The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is proud to present the 2008 Phoenix Summit Challenge on Nov. 14-15. The event is an opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts of all abilities to climb multiple summits throughout the Phoenix Desert Parks and Preserves

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT GO TO BENEFIT THE PHOENIX PARKS TRAILS FUND:

The Phoenix Parks Trails Fund was established in 2005 from proceeds derived from the popular hiking event, the Phoenix Summit Challenge. The fund is to be used exclusively to maintain and preserve over 200 miles of trails throughout the City of Phoenix desert mountain parks and preserves. Previous improvement projects have included work on Lookout Mountain, the Shaw Butte area, and South Mountain.
