Environmental Quality Management (EQM)

Enviromental Quality Management (EQM)

The Environmental Quality Management Section is working to develop a Quality System for accreditation in the National Environmental Field Activities Program (NEFAP), which requires organizations who conduct environmental monitoring to maintain Quality Management programs. The implementation of these programs will help ensure the integrity and defensibility of the resulting data of Pollution Control Division's monitoring and sampling operations. The section develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures, ensures personnel competence, identifies procedural nonconformance, conducts performance audits, assesses data integrity, and maintains a process of continual review of procedures, as well as identifying pollutant trends in the City's treatment plant influent and effluent streams, and performs internal audits of the EPA required Industrial Pretreatment and Commercial Inspection Programs.
