Missing Persons
Information Provided by the Police Department

|
The Missing Persons Detail works in conjunction with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children by advertising missing children and suspects with outstanding warrants for abducting children. The NCMEC can be contacted by calling 1-800-THE-LOST, 1-800-843-5678, or through the Internet at: http://www.missingkids.com. The Missing Persons Detail also works with the National Alzheimer's Association Safe Return Program. The Safe Return Program is cosponsored by the US Department of Justice and is designed to register memory-impaired individuals on a national registry. This aids in the safe and timely return of the impaired individuals through the use of identification tags, bracelets and clothing tags. For further information on Safe Return, contact the Phoenix area Alzheimer's Chapter at (602) 528-0545 or the National Alzheimer's Office at 1-800-272-3900. If the person is registered with Safe Return, call 1-800-572-1122 AFTER contacting the Police department. The Phoenix Police Department has no time limit regarding how long a child or person has to be missing prior to a report being filed. The department asks people to be reasonable and consider traffic delays, car problems or other unforeseen circumstances that may contribute to adults being overdue before making a report. Persons suspecting foul play or a health issue concern are encouraged to contact the Police department as soon as possible. If you wish to report a person missing, contact the local police department in the area from which the person is missing or last seen. If you have any information about any of these missing persons, call The Phoenix Police Department Missing Persons Detail. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. After hours |
