Explore an actual thousand year-old Hohokam Indian ruin conveniently located in the heart of the Phoenix metro area. Inside, three galleries offer fascinating exhibits featuring the Hohokam culture and the science of archaeology. Outside you will see actual remains of an 800 year old platform mound the size of a football field and a 1,000 year old ballcourt. In addition, you and your children will get the chance to learn how the Hohokam lived by seeing and entering full-size reproductions of their houses.

We are proud that you are considering bringing your class to the Pueblo Grande Museum. We believe you and your class will enjoy learning about archaeology and the Hohokam people. During your tour you and your students will see many things. Inside you will visit the Museum's exhibit halls where ancient Hohokam artifacts are on display. Outdoors you will visit the ruin of a Hohokam platform mound, a reconstructed Hohokam village, a ballcourt and Garden. If you have not visited Pueblo Grande in the past we recommend that you pre-visit the museum (free of charge!), prior to bringing your class for a tour. |
