New Restrictions
JEFFERSON STREET - 1ST AVENUE TO 1ST STREETJefferson Street will be restricted to one lane of traffic between 1st Avenue and 1st Street from 4 p.m. Sunday, November 8 until 6 a.m. Tuesday, November 10 for paving work on Central Avenue in conjunction with the Cityscape project.
Drivers are encouraged to allow for additional travel time during this period.
OSBORN ROAD - 15TH TO 19TH AVENUES
Osborn Road will be restricted to one lane of traffic in each direction between 15th and 19th avenues from 8:30 a.m. Monday, November 9 until 6 a.m. Monday, November 23 for a Southwest Gas pipeline relocation project.
This work is in preparation for a City of Phoenix Design and Construction Management storm drain replacement project.
Local and business access will be maintained.
Police officers will be on-site to assist with traffic control.
Drivers are encouraged to allow for additional travel time during this period.
UNION HILLS DRIVE AT I-17: REVISED
Eastbound Union Hills Drive is currently restricted for storm drain work associated with the ADOT I-17 improvements project.
For this phase of work, eastbound Union Hills Drive is reduced to one through lane and a single left turn lane at I-17. During weekday peak hours, two eastbound through lanes and one left turn will be maintained. All westbound lanes are open during this phase.
Union Hills Drive is scheduled to be closed to through traffic from 9 p.m. Friday, November 6 until 5 a.m. Monday, November 9 to allow the contractor to remove the existing storm drain structure and replace the concrete pavement. During the closure, Union Hills Drive through traffic will be detoured at 19th and 35th avenues to Bell or Beardsley roads.
Local and business access will be maintained.
The completion date for the project is November 15.
Drivers are encouraged to allow for additional travel time during this period.
WASHINGTON STREET - 1ST AVENUE TO 1ST STREET
Washington Street will be restricted to one lane of traffic between 1st Avenue and 1st Street from 4 p.m. Sunday, November 8 until 6 a.m. Tuesday, November 10 for paving work on Central Avenue in conjunction with the Cityscape project.
Drivers are encouraged to allow for additional travel time during this period.
79TH AVENUE - MCDOWELL ROAD TO PALM LANE
79th Avenue is scheduled to be closed weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Monday, November 9 until Friday, November 13 as part of an existing roadway widening and improvements project on McDowell Road.
During this work, 79th Avenue through traffic will be detoured at both Thomas and McDowell roads to either 75th or 83rd avenues.
Local and business access will be maintained.
Drivers are encouraged to allow for additional travel time during this period.
75TH AVENUE AT INDIAN SCHOOL ROAD INTERSECTION
75th Avenue is scheduled to be closed to through traffic from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 14 for paving as part of a City of Phoenix Water Services Department sewer improvement project.
During this work, 75th Avenue through traffic will be detoured at Indian School Road to 67th and 83rd avenues. Inaddition, Indian Scool Road will be restricted to one lane each direction.
Local and business access will be maintained.
Drivers are encouraged to allow for additional travel time during this period.

FIRST FRIDAYS - NOVEMBER 6 FROM 6 P.M. TO 11 P.M.The following streets will be closed from 3:30 p.m. Friday, November 6 until 1 a.m. Saturday, November 7:
- Roosevelt Street - Central Avenue to Third Street
- Roosevelt Street - Fourth to Seventh streets
The following streets will be closed from 6 p.m. Friday, November 6 until 1 a.m. Saturday, November 7:
- Third Street - Portland to Roosevelt streets
- Fourth Street - Garfield to Roosevelt streets
Police officers will be on-site to assist with traffic control.
All streets will be open to normal traffic by 1 a.m. Saturday, November 7.
M.S.WALK ON THE WILD SIDE - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7
This event takes place on Van Buren Street from Galvin Parkway to Mill Avenue from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Van Buren Street will be closed in both directions from 56th Street to Galvin Parkway from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Galvin Parkway will be controlled at the Van Buren Street intersection by police officers.
Police officers will be on-site to assist with traffic control.
Drivers are encouraged to allow for additional travel time during this period.
VERTERAN'S DAY PARADE - WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11 AT 11 A.M.
The parade route will start at 4200 N. Seventh Street (Veteran's Medical Center) and proceed north on Seventh Street, west on Camelback Road, and north on Central Avenue to finish at Montebello Road (Phoenix Baptist Church).
The following streets will be restricted to three lanes (as indicated below) at 9 a.m. Wednesday, November 11 to stage for this event:
- Seventh Street - Thomas to Camelback roads (two northbound and one southbound)
- Camelback Road - Seventh Street to Central Avenue (two westound and one eastbound)
- Central Avenue - Indian School to Bethany Home roads (two northbound and one southbound)
The following streets will be closed at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 11 for the parade:
- Seventh Street - Thomas to Bethany Home roads
- Camelback Road - Seventh Street to 16th Street
- Central Avenue - Indian School to Bethany Home roads
All major and local streets as well as driveways will be closed as the parade approaches and reopened as it proceeds.
Police officers will be on-site to assist with traffic control.
All streets will be open to normal traffic by 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 11.
