Construction has begun! The first phase of construction is the flood control levee between 105th Avenue and Avondale Boulevard (115th Avenue) on the north bank of the Salt/Gila river (right at the confluence). Construction of this piece of the levee was completed in February 2007. The next phase (1B) is scheduled to start in August 2007. Tentative Future Schedule:
