Community Budget Hearings

photograph of Phoenix City The Mayor and City Council and city staff are conducting budget hearings at various times and locations throughout the community. This public discussion of the budget is among the reasons our budget so closely matches the community's highest priorities each fiscal year.

You do not have to attend the hearing specific to your Council district. You are invited to attend the hearing that best fits your schedule. You also can send your comments and questions to budget.research@phoenix.gov or call 602-262-4800.

After the community's review, the city manager will present a revised proposed budget to the City Council on May 10, 2011 and the City Council is expected to make a decision on the budget on May 24. Formally, the Mayor and City Council will consider adopting a budget-balancing plan on June 22, 2011. The approved plan will take effect July 1, 2011.
