Deputy City Manager Lisa Takata coordinates the weekly City Council meeting agendas on behalf of the City Manager's Office. She works closely with the Mayor, City Council members and staff to provide council members with written materials, briefings and answers to questions about key decisions. Lisa assists the city manager with administrative activities, including his weekly report to the Mayor and Council, development of citywide administrative regulations, coordination of the interdepartmental administrative managers group and special projects. Lisa also oversees the City Clerk and Equal Opportunity departments and Information Technology Services.
Lisa began her service to the city as a management intern and has held the positions of project management assistant, project manager, management assistant and assistant to the city manager.
Ms. Takata earned her M.P.P. from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government and a B.A. in political science/urban affairs from UCLA, Los Angeles.
