Review Dedication
|
|
- DSD will determine when a proposed development project requires
a dedication and refer the customer to a Dedication Specialist, who
will examine the request and address submittal requirements. All
submittals must comply with the Dedication Guidelines and include
a Dedication Application, Questionnaire, and Drawing.
- When the customer is ready to submit their request, they contact
the Dedication Specialist, who will review the submittal prior to
forwarding it to Central Log-in, who
will review it for completeness. If the submittal is incomplete,
the customer must make the corrections and return after deficiencies
are addressed. If the submittal is meets all requirements, the customer
proceeds to Central Log-in and completes the Site
Development Civil Engineering Services Submittal Form
- Staff reviews the application for completeness, accuracy, staff
requirements, and verifies related information, such as legal description.
If the submittal is incomplete, staff notifies the customer to correct
the deficiencies and to resubmit the request (return to Step #2).
If the submittal meets all the requirements, documents are routed
to the Real Estate Division for review and processing. Real Estate
staff prepare the title report and instrument, contact the property
owner via certified letter to review and sign the dedication documents.
- The customer completes the review, signs the necessary documents,
and returns them to Real Estate for a final review. If all documents
are in order and ready for City Council action, Real Estate notifies
DSD, prepares documents for recording, the ordinance of acceptance,
and Request for Council Action. The city may now release building
permits and water meters, unless a dedication ordinance is required
by the Water Services Department.
- The City Council approves the dedication request, the ordinance
is adopted, and recorded documents are sent to the city Clerk’s Office
for recording and computer mapping. Since the dedication ordinance
is now adopted, Water Services may now release water meters.
