Vice Mayor Simplot serves on three City Council Subcommittees:
- Housing and Neighborhoods Subcommittee, member
This Subcommittee provides policy guidance related to neighborhoods, housing, homeless, and historic preservation with priority on those issues that maximize city dollars in these areas. - Seniors, Family and Youth Subcommittee, member
This Subcommittee provides policy guidance on issues related to seniors, families and youth, including libraries, education, sister cities, and arts and culture with priority on those issues that maximize city dollars in these areas. - Transportation, Infrastructure and Sustainability Subcommittee, member
This Subcommittee provides policy guidance on issues related to streets, transportation planning, development services, land use planning, public transit, light rail, infrastructure planning, water, wastewater and solid waste with priority on those issues that maximize city dollars in these areas.
