Infrastructure

*

There is currently one electrical substation that is proximate to PBC and handles its electrical needs. Plans are in place to build another Arizona Public Service substation adjacent to the PBC for additional biomedical users in the area. These two substations will ensure that there will be enough power and redundancy for firms that locate in this area.

In addition, there is access to a cooling system—Northwind Phoenix, that utilizes thermal (ice) storage. Your firm purchases the cooling, not the equipment that produces it. This elimination of cooling equipment will save your company money and other costs incurred with maintaining and operating this equipment.

There are also multiple lines of fiber adjacent to the PBC and throughout the downtown area. This adjacency will provide companies with the most advanced and redundant telecommunications in Phoenix. In addition, a few blocks away from the PBC is a fiber crossroad facility that contains almost every national network backbone with multiple fiber entrances and vaults.
