Workforce Investment Act
Local Two-Year Plan
The Workforce Investment Act of 1998, mandates that Local Workforce Investment Boards develop and submit to the Governor a comprehensive Two Year Plan. The plan includes:
IDENTIFICATION OF:
- Workforce investment needs of businesses, job seekers and workers in the local area;
- Current and projected employment opportunities in the local area, and;
- Job skills necessary to obtain such employment opportunities.
A DESCRIPTION OF:
- The One-Stop delivery system to be established or designated in the local area;
- Services available for Adults, Dislocated Workers, Youth and Businesses.
The City of Phoenix's local Workforce Connection Division Two Year Plan was approved by the Governor of Arizona on July 14, 2008.
