| Emergency Access Permits
The Phoenix Fire Department is one of the busiest fire departments in the nation. It’s important that emergency response personnel have clear access to fires and medical incidents. In the event of a fire or life-threatening medical emergency, fire personnel must be able to reach the scene as quickly as possible. In a true emergency, a few seconds literally can mean the difference between life and death. Your compliance with the Emergency Access Permit(s) (F479, F481, F482, F157) and their requirements will help us to better help you in an emergency.
The purpose of the Emergency Access Permit process is to better assist our customers in identifying emergency access requirements prior to the start of construction allowing you the customer ample time and opportunity to prepare for any unexpected changes to your site plan and/or sign package.
