✓ Provide the Fire Department with a site address located adjacent to a main
entrance.
- Refer to FD New Construction Sign Detail 3.7.
- Must include name of property and 4” x 5/8” minimum address numbers
✓ All hydrants must be in service and accessible for Fire Department use at all
times and prior to combustibles being stocked on site. If hydrants are newly
installed an interim water acceptance slip must be obtained by a civil inspector
and a copy must be provided to the Fire Department.
✓ Hydrants shall be located so that they are not more than 350 feet from all combustible construction. Distance is measured, as the truck travels, not line of sight.
✓ Maintain a Fire Department approved access road(s) to all buildings during
construction and when any combustibles are on site. Access road(s) shall be
within 150 feet of interior of building and shall be a minimum of 20 feet wide. If
access road exceeds 200 feet in length, a turnaround is required.

- A minimum of 6 inches of native soil compacted to 95%(ASTM D698) graded so that Pooling does not occur after rainfall.
- Access Road(s) must be maintained at all times during construction.
Failure to maintain any of the above items will lead to a cease-and-desist order.
