Chuck
Station Manager

Graduated from: ASU, degree in Broadcast Journalism

My job is to: manage the know99 television operations

Background: Started career in broadcasting at KAET, as audio technician and news cameraman. Moved to KPNX TV and spent 20 years in a variety of positions: photojournalist, documentary producer, helicopter cameraman, chief photographer. Worked at the Arizona Game and Fish Department as host of the Wildlife Views television series.

I love my job because: I get to produce television content with youth and educators, and mentor the next generation of television production talent.

Favorite show on know99: Bill Nye the Science Guy

Hobbies: Tennis, ping-pong, hunting/fishing, bicycling, reading and gardening

Favorite movie: Ronin

Favorite Color: Purple

Favorite food: Sushi

Favorite music group: The Allman Brothers

Programming Director/Reporter

Graduated from: ASU, degree in Broadcast Management and Business minor

My job is to: find quality education programs for teachers and students.

Background: While in high school, interned at Univision doing live studio camera for morning show Teledia. Also, interned at KAET and Channel 99 during my junior year of high school. Worked in Promotions Dept at Channel 5 during my last year of college. Apparently, through it all I couldn't escape know99... I've been here ever since my high school years!

I love my job because: I have always said I wanted to be a teacher or work in television...at know99 Television I'm able to satisfy both. I truly enjoy working with youth and teaching them about production. My job is very rewarding!

Hobbies: Shopping! Basketball (Go Suns!) and Football

Favorite movies: Brown Sugar, Love & Basketball

Favorite Color: Burgundy

Favorite foods: Mexican food (burritos, enchiladas) and Soul food (black-eye peas, sweet potatoes)

Master Control/Producer/Webmaster

Graduated from: ASU-West, degree in Interdisciplinary Arts & Performance

My job is to: monitor on-air signal, schedule programming, maintain our website, create and operate DEKO graphics, produce and edit videos.

Background: Initially went to school for recording engineering but wanted to work with video instead. I have produced short films and a media installation. I love working with technology.

I love my job because: It's fun, busy, flexible, and I love that I learn something every day
