Remembering the tragic events of 9/11
Mayor Phil Gordon, members of the City Council, firefighters and other city employees held a brief ceremony Tuesday, Sept. 11, to remember the victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks. A wreath was laid around the firefighter bell in the lobby of the the Phoenix Fire Administration Building.
Phoenix Fire Chief Bob Khan and Public Safety Manager Jack Harris spoke, and Father Carl G. Carlozzi, the Fire Department's chaplain, said a prayer of remembrance. The Police and Fire Honor Guards Pipes and Drums also played in tribute.
