In recognition of Data Privacy Day, the city’s Information Security and Privacy Office (ISPO) will be hosting a free lunch and learn session on smart phone and mobile device security and privacy from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, in the Phoenix City Hall assembly rooms, 200 W. Washington St.
Topics to be covered during the session include how to handle breach of personal information notification letters, types of information collected about consumers through their mobile device apps, and tips on how to keep mobile devices secure.
Bring your lunch. No registration is required for the session, and the first 75 attendees will receive a free 2012 Cyber Security Calendar.
Data Privacy Day, recognized by the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives in 2009, is an annual international celebration to raise awareness and generate discussion about information privacy in an increasingly online world. More information about this celebration is available at staysafeonline.org/dpd.
The ISPO provides strategic oversight, direction, and coordination for city of Phoenix information security and privacy programs based on internationally recognized information security governance best practices.
