Phoenix City Councilman Bill Gates invites North Phoenix and Bell Road area business owners and businesses to participate in a roundtable discussion from 8 to 9 a.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Turf Paradise Race Course, Director's Suite (go to Turf Club Clubhouse entrance), located at 1501 W. Bell Road. The discussion will focus on what the city of Phoenix can do to better address business needs. Councilman Gates has been working to encourage economic development in his district and citywide by assisting businesses with their needs.
Also, the city’s Community and Economic Development Department will provide an overview of Small Business Assistance Programs and the Planning and Development Department will discuss the new Office of Customer Advocacy for small businesses and planning/development process improvements. Other city staff will be in attendance to answer questions.
A breakfast buffet (eggs, bacon, potatoes, fruit and muffins) will be available for $5 and the District 3 Council Office will pay for coffee and juice.
