“SB 1322 was an ill-conceived attempt by the legislature to control local government and take away our ability to manage our own operations and budgets – all while not applying the same rules to themselves. I applaud Gov. Jan Brewer's veto of this bill. She again has demonstrated her support for local government and her confidence that we know best how to provide direct services to city residents. I appreciate our legislators who opposed this misguided bill.”
