Residents are invited to join Councilman Michael Nowakowski and city staff for a Historic Preservation Summit from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at Kenilworth Elementary School Auditorium, 1210 N. Fifth Ave.  Attendees will learn about the following:

• Changes to the fee ordinance that affects Historic Preservation;
• Maintaining the character of historic neighborhoods;
• Energy-efficiency strategies for historic homes; and
• Infrastructure issues in historic neighborhoods.
  

Residents also are invited to join Councilman Nowakowski for a Movie in the Park at 8 p.m. Friday, June 24, at Laveen Village Park, 3146 W. Vineyard Road.  The family-friendly flick will be “Yogi Bear,” an animated movie featuring the voices of Anna Faris, Dan Akroyd and Justin Timberlake.
