Residents are invited to attend a water safety event and movie at the park hosted by Vice Mayor Michael Nowakowski, Radio Campesina, SRP and Azteca America television from 1 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at University Park, 1002 W. Van Buren St.
Families can enjoy a day full of information and activities, learn about water safety, participate in CPR training and take swimming lessons. The event is free all day for children and $3 for adults from 3 to 8 p.m.
Attendees can enjoy a free movie at the park featuring “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” starting at 8 p.m.
