Understanding Financial Aid Workshop at College Depot

A free College Depot workshop “Understanding Financial Aid,” will be at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at Burton Barr Central Library, 1221 N. Central Ave., second floor.

Kathaerine Johnson, director, Student Financial Aid and College Access Programs, Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education, will educate students preparing to attend college on how to apply for and understand financial aid. Johnson will highlight the different types of financial aid available: grants, loans, work study and scholarships.

College Depot is a full-service college planning center that offers free one-on-one assistance, family consultation and workshops on all aspects of the college planning process, from financial aid to career exploration. The service is open to anyone seeking assistance with planning for college.
