Public Works Will Make Donations to Children and Families

WHAT: The city's garbage truck drivers and transfer station staff do more than handle your trash and recycling - they give back to some special members of our community! Public Works staff will donate more than $3,000 in clothes, food, shoes and toys to children and families throughout the city, including residents at the city's Watkins Homeless Shelter. The shelter provides emergency shelter for homeless families.
