Residents are invited to join Councilman Bill Gates for his monthly coffee chat from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Sunnyslope High School, 35 W. Dunlap Ave. Residents are invited to attend and discuss any city issues with the District 3 councilman.

This month’s speakers include Phoenix Police Commander Jeff Hynes, Desert Horizon Precinct; Karen Peters, director, city of Phoenix Government Relations Office, to discuss how to get involved in the legislature; and Jennifer Johnson, superintendent, Glendale Union High School District.

Coffee and a light breakfast will be provided by the school.
