The public is invited to attend the inauguration ceremony for newly-elected District 3 Councilman Bill Gates at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Phoenix City Hall, first floor, in assembly rooms A and B.

In June, the Phoenix City Council appointed Gates to serve the District 3 interim seat that was vacated by Maria Baier. Residents elected him to serve Baier’s unfinished term earlier this month.

Mayor Phil Gordon will swear in Gates, while his wife, Pam Gates, will hold the Bible during the ceremony. Gates will provide brief remarks and be presented with an election certificate.
