Councilman Sal DiCiccio is working diligently to help create jobs and get the economy back on its feet. DiCiccio will host a business outreach kick-off event in Ahwatukee at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at That Italian Place, 3941 E. Chandler Blvd., to meet with local business owners and operators to discuss their needs to grow their business.
"In our current financial crisis it is crucial for us to partner with the business community to find innovative ways to minimize difficulties that they may face in working with the city of Phoenix,” said DiCiccio. “We’re taking it one step at a time and asking what we can do to ensure each business hires at least one employee next year.”
This is the first of several business outreach events in his district to discover ways the city of Phoenix and businesses can work together to increase revenue. In addition to his staff, representatives from the Ahwatukee Chamber of Commerce and other local businesses also will attend. After the event, DiCiccio and his staff will walk to businesses in the surrounding area to meet with owners first-hand.
