Phoenix Police Recognized for Revitalization Efforts
On May 16, 2009, the Maryvale Revitalization Corporation hosted their 14th Annual Dignitary Breakfast. The event honors individuals who have made a significant impact to the Maryvale Community by promoting and facilitating its revitalization. Commander Tim Hampton and Lieutenant Jacqui MacConnell of the Maryvale Precinct were both honored at the breakfast for their tireless efforts to this cause. Commander Hampton received the Man of the Year Award for his leadership, dedication, commitment and community support. These qualities demonstrate his passion to the cause and his efforts have made a lasting impact on the development of the neighborhood. Lieutenant MacConnell received the Proof Positive Award for her enthusiasm, energy and initiative in always looking for new ways to improve the area.
The vision of the Maryvale Revitalization Corporation is to create strong enhanced relationships between all residents, the City of Phoenix, businesses, educators, non-profits, and the faith based community. The end result will offer a better place to live, work, play and raise families in the Maryvale community. Because of the efforts of people like Commander Tim Hampton and Lieutenant Jacqui MacConnell, the Maryvale Revitalization Corporation is one step closer to realizing the vibrant and inviting community they strive for.
