Law Enforcement EXPO showcases the latest and greatest
The Phoenix Convention Center is where law enforcement from across the country is getting a look at all of the latest equipment, products, services and tools used in their line of work. The two-day conference, August 4 - 5, 2009, headlined “Enforcement EXPO Southwest,” includes educational training covering everything from border and immigration issues, kidnapping, media relations, auto theft trends, internet safety, and more. The classroom sessions, many that are being led by Phoenix Police members, run throughout the day. Tuesday’s keynote speaker featured William D. Newell, SAC/ATF, Phoenix Field Division. Most of the courses have been determined to qualify for AZ POST (continuing or proficiency) training credit.
More than 100 companies have displays with the latest products and technology for law enforcement. The Exhibit Hall, open Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from 2 to 6 p.m. and Wednesday, August 5, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. is located in the South Hall of the Phoenix Convention Center. Live demonstrations include the Spike Strip Live Demo, Real-World Firearm Training, and Live Fire Shooting Trailer.
