Woman killed crossing the street; suspects flee
A 60 year-old woman crossing the street at Cave Creek Road just south of Thunderbird was killed after being hit by a car on October 21st at approximately 6:25 in the evening. The suspect was driving a two-toned 90’s model Nissan Altima or Maxima and hit the brakes to stop, but fled southbound on Cave Creek Road. The woman was then run over by as many as two other vehicles. One of those drivers stopped and waited for officers to arrive, but the other, who was driving a light colored vehicle, also fled the scene.
Investigators are trying to identify the first vehicle and driver, which should have extensive front end damage including a possible broken windshield. Police are also looking for the driver of the other vehicle who also left the scene.
