Santa's helpers in blue bring cheer to kids at Phoenix Children's Hospital

Santa BadgeThe W. Steven Martin Toy Drive Foundation collects toys all year to give to children who might otherwise have to go without during the holiday season. W. Steven Martin counts on police officers from around the state to be “Santa’s Helpers” by helping to identify children in need and delivering the toys to them. Phoenix Police officers from the Cactus Park Precinct learned about a group of children who are really having a tough time this season—kids who are hospitalized at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Phoenix.

Santa’s helpers, ID’d as jolly Phoenix officers, traveled to W. Steven’s toy warehouse on Monday, December 21st, loaded up the packages and stuffed them into Santa’s sleigh—uh, patrol cars, for the journey across the river (uh-huh, the Salt River) to grandma’s house—okay, Phoenix Children’s Hospital! Tons of good cheer was delivered in each package placed in the hands of every child. The smiles of the children were enough to light up the whole valley.

Happy Holidays to all!
