The U.S. Department of Justice has provided a Weed and Seed grant to the City of Phoenix and community partners in the Maryvale Precinct that enables officers in the precinct to focus additional resources and time in the identified area. The identified area is known as the "Maryvale Weed and Seed" site and consists of McDowell to Thomas / 39th Avenue – 51st Avenue and Thomas to Indian School Road / 39th to 47th Avenue. A community law enforcement meeting is held the first Tuesday of every month at the Adam Diaz Senior Center, 4115 W. Thomas, at 6:00 p.m. All Maryvale Weed and Seed residents are welcome.
