Passenger numbers depend on many variables - the economy of the nation, the state and local area, the financial strength of the airlines, changes in the travel patterns of the public, air fares, airline schedule changes, changes in government regulations, business climate, economic development forecasts, population forecasts and many other factors.
- In 2007 Sky Harbor saw a record 42.2 million passengers
- By the end of 2009 that number is expect to drop to approximately 37 million passengers
- Sky Harbor expects passenger numbers to begin to increase again in 2010 and 2011
