Council Subcommittees
Councilman Mattox serves on three City Council Subcommittees, one of which he chairs:
- Public Safety and Veterans Subcommittee, chair
This Subcommittee provides policy guidance on police and fire, courts, homeland security and veterans issues with priority on those issues that maximize city dollars in these areas. - Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee, member
This Subcommittee provides policy guidance on issues related to streets, transportation planning, development services, land use planning, public transit, light rail, infrastructure planning, water, wastewater and solid waste with priority on those issues that maximize city dollars in these areas. - Economy, Commerce and Sustainability Subcommittee, member
This Subcommittee provides policy guidance on issues related to the economy, sustainability, the city's revenue generation task force, new concepts for efficiency in delivery of services, local and international economic development, small business programs, and public/private partnerships with priority on those issues that maximize city dollars in these areas.
