In an effort to be a good neighbor, the Water Services Department and the Office of Arts and Culture have teamed up to add shade, enhance security, and improve the look of inactive well sites throughout our city's neighborhoods. Each site is unique in its history, challenges and communitu context, so a different artist will be paired at each site with a landscape architect to come up with designs based on community input. There is a goal to complete one of these projects in each City of Phoenix Council districts. Currently one site has been completed (Well Site 157) and 4 are in progress. Stay tuned for a project coming soon near you!
