Representing many nations, Indigenous Enterprise uses the beauty and energy of pow-wow style dance to educate the public about the proud traditions and dynamic creativity of modern Native American artists. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">Under the night sky on the Museum patio next to the prehistoric ruins of the Pueblo Grande village, Indigenous Enterprise will perform colorful and high-energy Northern-style pow-wow dances to the brilliant vocals of pow-wow music and the modern rhythms of beat driven contemporary music. Kenneth Shirley (Navajo), Ty Lodgepole (Navajo), Ike Owens (Blackfoot/Navajo) and George Gonzales (Pima) have been making a name for themselves as representatives of their cultures by honoring the traditional music of the pow-wow as they explore new, creative expressions using contemporary music. An explanation of pow-wow dance and an in-depth description of the elements of dance regalia will provide the audience with a greater appreciation of the subtleties of Native American expression.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">After the performance, guests will have the opportunity to meet the members of Indigenous Enterprise, purchase merchandise, and take pictures with the dancers.
