To support the area’s urban and active transportation community, the City is seeking public input to identify an east-west bicycle lane option in downtown Phoenix to connect to existing and future bicycle infrastructure. </p><p>The City of Phoenix Street Transportation Department will host a public meeting on Monday, October 28 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at Burton Barr Central Library (1221 N. Central Avenue) in the Pulliam Auditorium.</p><p>Street Transportation staff will present details about potential east-west bicycle connectivity options between 7th and 1st Avenues in downtown Phoenix, potentially including but not limited to Portland, Roosevelt, McKinley and Fillmore Streets. Some of the options may require changes to or the removal of traffic lanes and/or on-street parking.</p><p>The meeting will begin with an Open House from 7 - 7:30 p.m. Street Transportation Department staff will be available to discuss the potential options. The public can ask the staff questions and look at drafts on rollplots. A formal presentation of the potential options will begin at 7:30 p.m.</p><p>Your time and input are highly valued.
