Meeting Overview: <br><br>
The City of Phoenix Street Transportation Department is hosting an open house to provide an update on the upcoming Oak Street Bike and Pedestrian Improvement Plan Project. The project team will be displaying the updated post design plans. <br><br>
Project Details: <br><br>
The proposed improvements for Oak Street are aimed at enhancing connectivity with existing and planned bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure and the transit service for the transportation corridor. <br><br>
The design was developed based on the public input that was received since the planning phase and project area engineering assessments. <br><br>

Design changes as a result of our last public meeting: <br><br>

▪ Advisory bike lanes removed and replaced with traditional bike lanes in each direction. <br><br>
▪ On street parking has been modified to only be along one side of the street from 3rd to 7th Streets and from 16th to 20th Streets. <br><br>
▪ New traffic signals has been added at 7th and Oak Streets. <br><br>
▪ A raised crosswalk has been added at 18th Street and Oak Streets. <br><br>
▪ 3-way stop has been added at 20th and Oak Streets. <br><br>
