​Interested in hosting a summer intern?​

City of Phoenix RISE, Mentor/Host y​​​oung adult summer interns

The City of Phoenix Summer Youth Employment Program, Reach and Invest in Summer Employment (RISE) is an investment in the future workforce. Businesses can host a summer intern with no cost to the participating employer. As a business, a RISE participant​​ can contribute 80 work hours in June and July, and the hiring, training and wage costs are covered through RISE. You’ll mentor motivated young men and women and equip them with skills to succeed in careers in your industry. The career exposure in this program can potentially nurture a future top-tier employee for your firm. Interns can help you accomplish tasks and projects you’ve set aside due to time and team limitations.

Phoenix Youth RISE Summer Program

The Phoenix Youth Reach and Invest in Summer Employment (R.I.S.E.) program provides employment opportunities for youth, ages 16 to 24 years old, to learn the general aspects of working in a business during the summer months. This internship offers a pathway to building a strong work ethic and making future connections.  Selected youth work in a variety of clerical and assistant or aide roles with government agencies, libraries, community organizations, for-profits, nonprofits and more.
