The colorful installation is a multimedia diorama inspired by the early Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli's classic painting "The Birth of Venus". The artwork will remain on view through spring.

Boos' project was commissioned by the Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture Public Art Program. It is one of 15 temporary projects being presented as part of the Valley-wide IN FLUX Cycle 5 program of temporary public art installations and performances by Arizona artists. In Flux involves 11 cultural institutions and private developers in seven Valley cities and towns. The partnership, which includes organizations in Chandler, Glendale, Gilbert, Mesa, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe, was launched by Scottsdale Public Art in 2010 to activate vacant storefronts with temporary public art.
