Renovation Begins On Moon Valley Safeway Shopping Center Renovation Begins On Moon Valley Safeway Shopping Center <div class="ExternalClass446E7F3298114EF589585BAEFFDBD281"><p>The Moon Valley Shopping Center is getting a much needed facelift. The center at 13440 N. 7th Street, at the corner of Thunderbird Road and 7th Street, is now in the process of being renovated and expanded.<br><br>Safeway has agreed to invest several million dollars in the expansion, renovation and modernization of the front and the interior of the store. Additionally, the entire center will be fully renovated, offering two new 5,000 square foot pads. These pads will face 7th Street, a major north-south artery from northeast Phoenix to Downtown. <br><br>"I am very excited about this announcement," said Councilman Bill Gates, District 3. "Safeway continues to invest in our community and Triumph Properties is playing a major role in facilitating the expansion and renovation of this project. I also appreciate the responsiveness of our Planning Department to ensure that the process went smoothly and efficiently."<br><br>The last time the center was expanded and renovated was in 1994 and 1999.
